Germs and Jesus

In my devotional this morning, I read about this family that had some missionaries visiting with them. When the missionary children were called in for dinner, their mother said, "Be sure to wash your hands". The little boy scowled and said, "Germs and Jesus. Germs and Jesus. That's all I hear, and I've never seen either one of them."

There is something about the human spirit that longs to see. We believe that if only we could see something, then we would believe. We have a much harder time believing simply because we recognize something as truth.

Lord, give me a heart that believes, even when my eyes can't see you!
