God's Timing is ALWAYS Best!
I have been meaning to blog about this, but just haven't taken the time to do it. I thought today was as good as any!
Bart came home from work a couple of weeks ago with "that look" on his face! After being married for 16 years, I KNOW "that look" all too well! It's a look when he has something exciting to tell me. He tries really hard not to smile, but he can't help but smile! My heart jumps with anticipation when I see this look!
Well, the news he had to share was VERY GOOD news!! He told me that he had been offered a promotion and had accepted it! He will be taking over his boss' job as Director of Credit, which is a stepping stone to Vice President! The transition will happen July 1st. We are so excited for this opportunity!
Now for the really cool part....
This position is the VERY SAME position that he was offered and wanted so badly in San Diego, CA almost a year ago! Only this time, we don't have to move! It is right here in Tulsa! Can I get a , "WOW?!"!! When he was offered the job in San Diego, there was a BIG part of him that wanted to take the job! It was such a great opportunity for him. It was the job he had been working his entire career for! The possibilities were exciting! But, in all of the excitement, we just NEVER had a peace about moving to California. We prayed and prayed about it, but we just knew it was not God's plan! So, with deep regret, Bart made the hardest call of his life and turned the job down. He just knew that it wasn't what he was supposed to do at that time. Isn't it AMAZING how God works??!! God knew the entire time that this same job would become available to Bart in July! He knew all we needed to do was listen to Him and trust Him! We are SO GLAD we listened to God and waited on Him! His timing is ALWAYS perfect!
I am so proud of you, Bart! You are such a hard worker and great Daddy! Thanks for all you do for us!
