The Pool is Open!!!!

We were told our neighborhood would have a pool by summer of 2009. We moved in our house in August of 2008, so this was GREAT news for us and a HUGE reason why we chose this neighborhood! Well, you can imagine our disappointment when we did not have a pool last summer! We were really sad! But what could we do? Our economy stinks right now! Because of this, we pretty much assumed it wouldn't happen for quite awhile. (Or at least not while Obama is our president!) We knew our economy had to improve so the neighborhood could sell some more houses and then we MIGHT get our promised pool. One day, last spring, while bike riding we did a double take and couldn't believe our eyes! We saw a big bull dozer digging a HUGE hole in the ground! Could it be? Could we actually be getting a pool?! Say it isn't so!! No way!!! But yes, to our excitement, we were indeed getting a pool! Now the million dollar question....WHEN would it open? They finished the pool and the pool house and the landscape. They added a gate (with a combination lock), chairs, tables, etc...but we still waited. We just knew the pool would be open by the time we got home from Mobile. After all, Memorial Day and the 4th of July had already come and gone. But NO! STILL NO POOL! So, finally, one day last week we got the awaited note on the door! It said the pool would open on Friday! Ya-hoo!!!! We were SO EXCITED! Unfortunately, though, Judd and I were both sick last week, so we knew we wouldn't get to be there for the opening day. We did get to go this morning, though, and it was GREAT! The pool is so nice! We love it! School starts in 2 1/2 weeks, so we plan to use it as much as possible between now and then!
