Take Me Out to the Ball Game!
We have lived in Tulsa for 3 years and had never been to a Tulsa Drillers, baseball game. We kept saying we wanted to go, and we finally went tonight. It's wasn't like being at an Atlanta Braves game, but it was fun! This was Jack's very first baseball game to go to. We took Judd to a Braves game when we lived in Atlanta, but he doesn't really remember it. We thought they had a really nice stadium. Here are a few pics.
If I am completely honest, I think the boys (Bart included) enjoyed all of the ball park junk food more than the game itself. They had nachos, chili-cheese fries, a funnel cake and dippin dots! Don't tell anyone, but I had a chili dog, myself! What's a baseball game without a chili dog?! :)
This picture is dark, but this is the Driller's mascot. His name is Hornsby.
So, if Hornsby is the team mascot, who in the world is this??
They called him Mervin and he worked the fans. He would go onto the field and dance (sort of) in between innings. He actually stopped what he was doing and posed for this picture for me. He was a hoot!
We didn't stay for the whole game, but when we left, the Drillers were ahead!
