4th of July Fun with Family!

We celebrated the 4th of July twice while in Mobile! We had a shrimp boil with the Dreher's on the 3rd and went to the Country Club to eat and swim with the Roberts' on the 4th! It was so much fun being with family!

My favorite sister and one of my favorite cousins!

The kids had a great time together!

Aunt Debbie, Aunt Donna, Kristie and Deana peeling shrimp! Everyone peels their own shrimp, but this was the left overs! NOT a fun job (but somebody's got to do it!)

Look at all of that left over shrimp! Yowzers!!

And what were the guys doing while the ladies were working hard peeling a ton of shrimp? This....

Okay, okay, I have to confess! I wasn't much better! I snuck off to talk to this girl while the others were peeling away!

Our friend's, Matt and Stacy, moved to Mobile a almost a year ago. We were so excited to hear this because that meant we got to see them!! We invited their family to join us for my parent's shrimp boil. It was so nice hanging out with them! We miss them so much here in Tulsa!

We also celebrated Bart's 40th Birthday while we were there! My Mom made her homemade chocolate sheet cake and it was soooo good!

Here is the Birthday boy! :)

On the 4th, we headed over to the Herrin Lakes Country Club with the Roberts' for some more fun with family! We had a great BBQ dinner and the kiddos swam afterwards! They didn't have the traditional fireworks this year because there was a ban on the city due to the dry weather/forest fires that were nearby. That was kind of disappointing because they are always so good! We still had a great time, though!

Bart, the boys and Mee Maw and Pee Paw!

Judd LOVED the ribs! Ha!

Pretty Mandy and Avery!

Mee Maw and Pee Paw relaxing by the pool while the kids swam!

Tina, Chandley and I poolside! I didn't get any pictures, but Chandley cut loose when the music hit her and showed us some dance moves! She did everything from "the Dougie" (sort of) to "planting corn" and some other things I had never seen before! Ha! It was hilarious! Sure wish I would've had my video camera rolling for that one!

Ronnie and Doyle hanging out talking about politics, probably! (Bart was in the pool with the boys!)

We celebrated Bart's 40th Birthday again, this time with his family!

His requested red velvet cake!

The 4th of July was great! You can't beat family, friends, good food and laughter! It always makes for a great time!
