Halloween

I have no pictures to show for Halloween. How sad is that? Halloween came and went this year before I even realized it. The reason I know it came is because of the 2 bags of candy still sitting on the bar.

Halloween night didn't go anything like I had planned. I offered to work for Tammy because they had big plans and we didn't. I figured Bart could take the boys trick-or-treating and I could hand out candy while working. What I forgot was that Halloween falls on the last day of the month. That meant Bart would get home very late. To make matters worse, we had costume issues! Around 5:30, Judd asked me if he could put his costume on. I told him they were still in the bag from our trip to Great Wolf the previous weekend. After getting his out, he ran to me with a look of concern on his face. There were fruit flies ALL OVER it! I mean ALL OVER it! When I looked in the bag, they were all in the bag and all over the costumes! And the smell....OH MY WORD! It was NASTY! I had put some left over cut up fruit in the bag on our trip and forgot to take it out when we got home, and it spilled in the bag. It was disgusting! I threw the costumes in the washing machine on a quick cycle and managed to have them washed and dried in time for trick or treating. Judd's mask was ruined, though. After washing it twice plus using clorox, you could still smell the horrible smell from the rancid fruit. I gag just thinking about it! Jack's mask/helmet was fine, but he refused to wear it! I was so mad! Judd's glow in the dark skeleton was pretty cheap. But Jack's Boba Fett costume was pretty expensive. The 2 things that made it expensive were the helmet and the belt and he didn't want to wear either one! Grrrr! Like I said, not the best Halloween!

So, the Halloween decorations are put away. We just have our Fall/Thanksgiving decorations out now. I'm ready for Thanksgiving! That means Christmas is right around the corner! :)
