Cookies and Friends!
What could be better, right? :)
My cookie swap has become a tradition here in Tulsa! After Thanksgiving everyone starts asking me when it's going to be! Ha! It's A LOT of work to get ready for it, but its totally worth it because it's so much fun! Everyone has a great time and tells me its their favorite party of the season!
My friend, Ashley, recently moved into a new, beautiful house! The first time I saw it, I said this is the PERFECT set up for a party! (hint-hint!) ;) Actually, she had already offered to have the cookie party there, so I gladly took her up on it! It was PERFECT! She had everything looking so pretty and festive! As another friend would say, "it felt like Christmas"!
Ashley and I started planning weeks ago and everything came together nicely. We had about 16 girls, lots of yummy food, great conversation, some funny stories and LOTS of cookies to take home!
Here are some pics from the party. Ashley and I forgot to take pics of all of our hard work (the appetizers and desserts we served). I am so bummed I didn't think to do that. Everything was go good and pretty too! We tried a couple of new recipes from Pinterest, so I posted pics taken from there of some of the things we made.

Not pictured: Hot corn dip, veggie tray, spinach-artichoke dip, meatballs, broccoli salad, grape salad, oreo trifle, cake and tea. We had WAY TOO MUCH FOOD! But, I was raised that it's better to have too much than not enough! Plus, we were expecting 24 and we had several cancellations at the last minute. (My boys didn't mind the left overs one bit! Ha!)
Side note...95% of the food we made, was made with cream cheese. Moral to the story...Everything tastes better with cream cheese! (Can you say elastic waist band or muffin top?) ;)

Ashley and I had so much fun doing the cookie swap! Thank you again, Ashley, for letting us have it at your house! You were the perfect hostess! And thank you to all of the girls that came! Hope you had as much fun as we did!
