An "Incredible" Father's Day
The last few years, the boys and I have been in Mobile on Father's Day. I am so glad we were here with Bart this year! We were able to spoil him a bit!
He already bought his own present (ahem....a new gun). Shocker, right?! So, I didn't have to worry about coming up with something to give him this year. I decided we would just give him a fun little something. I figured he had enough Daddy mugs, pictures of us framed, Daddy books, etc... While walking through the mall a few months ago, I stumbled on a booth that was selling "Sportulas". When I saw the Alabama one, I couldn't resist. Because who doesn't want to have their steak flipped with an Alabama spatula??!! Ha! Rolllllll Tide! ;)
I started feeling a bit guilty for only having a silly "sportula" and a couple cards to give him for Father's Day. I mean, even though he said, "Don't get me anything. I already bought my own gift.", I still felt bad.
Well, I got a call from my friend, Erin, a few days before the big day and she stumbled upon the PERFECT gift for my man!
Ha! I love it! Can you see the resemblance??!!
I have told him he reminds me of Mr. Incredible ever since we saw the movie a few years ago. What do ya think? Am I right? Hee Hee!
Erin said they were sold out of the tights, but they still had a t-shirt in his size! ;) I told her to get it and I would pay her back! I could not pass it up!!
I am sure Bart's going to be handing out autographs and booking kid's Birthday parties in no time! The resemblance is uncanny! ;)
Besides his new, fun gifts, we took him to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory (his choice). I also made him a key lime pie. It's one of his favorites! Bart and the boys went to the shooting range after Church. It was Jack's first time. I think they all 3 had a good time! We ended the day by going to see the new Superman movie that evening. So, all and all, I think he had a good Father's Day! :)
Here I am with Mr. Incredible at lunch! He left his costume at home that day. ;)
Mimi and the boys!
Opening the card Jack made for him. Jack even taped a $1 of his own money to give Daddy! ;) He was so excited to give it to him! He was even more excited when Bart told him he could have it if he wanted it! Ha!
And for fun, I found a couple of pics from when Bart became a Dad for the first time. Check out the size of that video camera! Boy, those were ancient times back in 2001! That thing is HUGE!
I love the look on Bart's face here. It says it all. He is in love! He looks like such a natural holding Judd when he was first born. So sweet.
I am so thankful for my babies' daddy! The boys love him to the moon and back and he loves his boys so much!
We love you, Bart! You are pretty "Incredible" to us! :)
