House Hunting

I'm going to back up a few weeks and try to catch up.  I am so behind on blogging.

A few weeks ago, Bart and I went to Dallas for the weekend.  We needed to do some serious house hunting.  Well, really we were just "area hunting".  We were looking for a temporary place to live for a few months.  We figured house hunting would come later (like early Spring).  Well, God had other plans.  We ended up driving out to an area called Prosper.  We had heard about Prosper, but it wasn't top on our list because it's a little further north than the other areas we were looking at (McKinney and Frisco).  Well, we happened upon an area that we really liked.  It was more rural and removed from the big city (even though it is only 15 minutes away from Frisco and McKinney).  So, we checked it out.  To make a long story short, we have decided to build in Prosper!  I am SO EXCITED about that part!  Here is a picture of the house we are going to build, only our house will have a 3 car garage.

I don't have any inside pics, but it is beautiful!  Hardwood floors, granite counters, 5 bedrooms, a study, dining room, and even a little wine cellar. We love the fireplace.  I am going to have this in our house!  It is so pretty, and so tall, too!

These are our sweet Real Estate agents, Patty and Gary!  LOVE them!!!!!

This is a picture of downtown McKinney!  It is the cutest downtown ever!  It reminds us so much of downtown Fairhope!  We had lunch there one day.  I anticipate many more lunches in that area.  So cute!

This is another picture of the house we are building.  We are adding a 3 car garage, though.  I am so excited to get this process started!  In the mean time, we will live in a 2 bedroom apratment.  HELP!!!!!!  ;)

There are so many ways God has shown us this is His plan for us.  Too many to name, really.  Everything just seems to be falling into place.  I am still sad about leaving Tulsa.  But it makes the move easier when you see God's hand, and know that it is His will.  (Thank you for these signs, Lord!)

Oh, ,and a HUGE bonus.......Some of our friends in our Sunday School class found out they are moving to Dallas around the same time we are.  Well, we found out yesterday that WE ARE GOING TO BE NEIGHBORS!!!!!!  They are going to build in the same neighborhood as us!  I am beyond excited about that!  We already had a connection with them because they lived in Atlanta, like us.  And now this. I mean, wow!  Just wow!  So exciting!  :)

So, that's about it for the house right now.  We hope to start building next month.  It will take 6-7 months to build.  We are making our move during Christmas break.  I am headed to Dallas next week to meet with the design team to customize everything for the house!  Woo hoo!  That's the fun part!  :)
