Fast Friends!

I've shared before how our friends from First Baptist Broken Arrow, the Jacobs, found out they were moving to the Dallas area around the same time we did.  Now, Dallas is HUGE.  So, who knew if we would really see them once we got here?

God did, that's who!!

Would you believe they ended up moving to Prosper like us?  They are even building a house 2 miles from us!  And, they are even living in the apartments right next to us, while waiting on their house to be built!  To say God had a hand in all of this, is an understatement!

We knew the Jacobs and talked casually with them when we saw them at Church in Broken Arrow.  We knew they, like us, moved to Tulsa from the Atlanta area, so we had that commonality.  We also knew they were nice people.  But, that's about it.  They have 3 boys that play soccer, but we had never met them.  They like to eat out like we do (we knew this thanks to facebook).  But that's about it.  We didn't know them past that.

The girls from our Sunday School class even threw Mandi and I a little combined going away dinner.  It was fun, but I didn't really know Mandi that well.  Here we are at our little dinner.

Fast forward 2 months, and we have become GREAT friends!  :)

Our boys get along great!

Our husbands (neither of which are known for being social butterflies) enjoy each other's company.

And Mandi and I have really had fun exploring and learning about Prosper and the surrounding areas!

I am so very thankful God saw we needed each other during this move!  I truly believe God brought us to Prosper together for a reason!  I look forward to what God has in store for both of our families here in the future.  I am thankful we have friends along side us to go through these new adventures.  I feel like no matter what friends we make here in Prosper, or where our individual lives take us, we will always have each other as sort of a "family away from home" and that means so much!

Thank you God for sending the Jacobs to walk this new journey with us!

I have not taken many pictures with them, but we have enjoyed eating out, visiting churches, trying out new parks, etc... with the Jacobs.

Since moving to Prosper, we have enjoyed playing tennis!  We have tennis courts all around us, so it's very convenient!  Our boys seem to like it too!  They are going to be doing a little tennis camp together soon.  We are very excited about this!

This is one of our wonderful parks!  It actually backs right up to the neighborhood where we are building.  We like to meet here after school on Fridays when we can.

One of my favorite things we have done so far, is take the boys to "Spoon's" in downtown McKinney.  Our husbands both had work engagements, so it just seemed like the right thing to do.  So fun!!

We love you Jacobs!!!  Thank you , Lord, for sending us friends to "do life" with here in Texas!  :)
