Our Summer With Sonia - Part 2

The week after Sonia arrived in America, we headed to Hot Springs, Arkansas to take Jack to his very first overnight camp, Brookhill Ranch.  Tasha and I went together.  We stayed in a hotel the night before checking them into camp.  Sonia was SO EXCITED to get to stay in a hotel and these boys fed off of her energy and went bananas!  Ha!

They are crazy!

We explored Hot Springs a little on Monday morning before taking the boys.  Such a neat town!

Jack was very nervous/excited about camp!

We set up his bunk.

Took some pics.

Then said goodbye for the week.

We picked up Maryna for a couple of days.  Sonia and Maryna met on the flight to America.  They hit it off and became fast friends!  We knew we had to get these two together while they were here.  Maryna's host family lives about an hour from us.

These two are a mess together!

We met another host family at Urban Air for some fun!

These two tagged along!

Pushing Judd!  HAHA!

We stopped at the grocery store on the way home.  I thought, "how hard could this be?".  I turned around to find this!  😨😱

They look innocent here, but let me tell you, they are a force together!  😜

Stinkers!

One of the typical Ukrainian tween poses.  Ha!

Bart and I went back to Hot Springs to pick up Jack!  I was ready to see my boy!  I missed him!!

He had a great week!

His wonderful counselors.

Buddies! 😀

Things were back to "normal" when we got back home, or so I thought...

I was on the phone with a friend and looked out to see this happening...

😱😱😱😮😮😮😆😆😆

My poor PINK Cooper!  LOL!

He was a good sport.  I made a mental note....No colored chalk allowed after this!  Yes, that is chalk!  ;)

The next day, we got pizza and then went to the Frisco Aquatic Center with friends.

Ready to swim!

But first....A goofy pose!

The next day was pretty low key while I worked.  The kids made tie dye shirts.

We took Cooper to the dog park.

Stopped for Bahama Bucks.

And headed home.  It was so hot!

Sonia LOVES animals!  ALL animals!  She said she saw an injured bird outside of her window.  She tried to nurse it back to health, but it disappeared during the night.  Poor birdie.

Cooper LOVES Sonia (and her bed)!  Hee Hee!

We have done tons of swimming!

My high school friend, Heidi, came in town with her 3 girls.  We were so glad we got to see them!

I don't think we've changed a bit!  LOL!

Her girls are so sweet!

Yee haw!

Loved catching up with Heidi and getting to know her girls!

Before leaving for Alabama, we celebrated Morgan's Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Morgan!

That concludes part 2.  Next up, our trip to Alabama!
